How it all began…
Beach bums, meet Brittany!
Brittany was born and raised in a small town in CA, and has always had a love for being near the ocean. For almost her entire life, she visited her family that has lived on the Big Island of Hawaii for over 30 years and has grown quite the attachment to island living and truly loving the aloha lifestyle.
Being that she still lived in CA, she had to find a career that could pay the bills and let’s face it “living off the land” here doesn’t quite kick it. For the last 12 years, Brittany has been in the beauty industry as a makeup artist, director of education and artistry, as well as educating on the importance of skincare.
Koa’kini was born when the idea of creating a blend of beach and beauty just made sense for Brittany. Still having that drive to educate on beauty products and provide brands with healthy skin in mind to her clients was still a passion of hers, yet so was the need to be able to incorporate beach living and create a movement at the same time of living that “slow paced” aloha lifestyle. Today, Koa’kini is a virtual beach and beauty bar that Brittany has handpicked her favorite products that either protect, nourish, hydrate or intoxicate you with smells that will transport you into an aloha state of mind as well as accessories to keep you beach chic on and off the beach.
